Registrar's House
The drive up to this villa could be a bit bumpy, yet serves to add to the adventure and charm of this superb location, half an hour’s drive inland from Weligama.
As you enter, you are struck by the beauty of the surrounding countryside, and by shades of all things green with splashes of riotous colour of wild flowers and the flash of tropical birds that call out all day long. A long pond graces the left side of the entrance walkway, separating entrance with colourful carps lazily gliding through the shallow waters. To you right and over the pond are three spacious and comfortable twin rooms equipped with four poster beds and plenty of extra pillows, washroom and outdoor shower.
The dining table sits central, overlooking the lounge area a few steps below and down to the swimming pool. Over this infinity pool your eyes follow the line of tea bushes on your right to a beautiful view of lush paddy fields in the valley, bordered by the thick foliage of jungle trees rising up to the hills opposite.
Fully equipped kitchen with in-house cook to prepare you sumptuous meals both western and native, and a houseboy to take care of your every other need.
Wake up every morning to the glorious sound of birdsong and enjoy an early morning walk through the property’s tea plantations in this unique inland getaway.

| Came just over a week ago for ‘r & r’ and that’s exactly what we got. The peace, serenity, noises, wildlife… all food cooked from natural produce – all wonderful. The staff were brilliant – there when you needed them and for the rest of the time we felt we were totally alone.
Will be recommending to anyone who needs to de-stress and “stand and stare”!
Many, many thanks, |

| PARADISE. The only word I can think use to describe this place. Having spent two and a half weeks travelling Sri Lanka, arriving to the villa was the best part of the trip so far!
The views are amazing and so are the beds. I could spend days on end in the pool and chilling with music. The greatest rice and curry in the whole of Sri Lanka. Gutted to leave this place, but it has been a real stepping stone for my next adventure during my 6 month gap year. Thank you so much, |

| Thank you to all the staff here for a truly magical stay!! This place is amazing and the staff are wonderful people… always smiling and the food is the best we’ve eaten since we arrived down south… believe me, we’ve tried a few places before coming here. A big thank you to all the staff and wishes for a prosperous New Year!!
We loved the pool… I could just sit in it for hours. My friend had his first lesson here and I’m sure the magical pool will provide him with the motivation to take up swimming in the new year . With much appreciation for the amazing few nights. We will be dreaming of this place for a long time to come. |

| Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your wonderful villa. The six of us have thoroughly enjoyed spending nine days here amongst the exotic birds, bugs and reptiles. Quite a contrast from a London back garden. The staff were also fantastic and have taught us all a new skill in Carrom! |

| I just wanted to add my story for what has been the most fantastic stay. We feel like we have been living in the best tree house!!
The staff has looked after us exceptionally well, attending to all our needs, whilst also imparting their knowledge of the nature surrounding us. They have kept us well fed with wonderful local dishes. Favourite breakfasts were ‘egg-hoppers’; Roti for lunch and then various rice and noodle curries for dinner. All delicious and served beautifully. The game of Carrom taught to us has been a highlight – lots of fun and with varying degrees of skill!!
Thank you to everyone! |
