This Lake House is a private, British architect designed, contemporary villa that enjoys an elevated posi3on overlooking Lake Koggala. Designed with Sri Lankan materials to be energy efficient and low impact, it u3lises the natural breeze from across the lake to cool the house, supplemented with ceiling fans and avoiding the need for air condi3oning.
There are 4 double bedrooms and a 5th twin room, all with en suite bathrooms, 3 of which have outdoor showers.
Stunning to enter, tranquil to live in, blending into the landscape this house is a fabulous place. Close to the historic town of Galle, within hearing distance of the Indian Ocean and adjacent to untouched forest it is both close to nature and convenient. Watch the fishermen drift by, eat crabs and prawns from the lake, find delight in the bird-life and take life at a slower pace.
The spacious sitting room and dining room and open to the views over the 17m swimming pool to the lake beyond.
